Play 8 - Walker Bay
The Conditions were perfect for a trip to the local lake with my new Airis lightweight compact Inflatable Kayak. After arriving at our location, I put on the backpack that the Inflatable Kayak fits in quite nicely, also known as the AirPack. With comfortable shoulder pads this lightweight Kayak was a breeze to transport to the lake. After a short hike I was ready to inflate the kayak and have a little fun.

It only took about 5 minutes to fully inflate. The boat comes with a manual high pressure air pump and gauge. Suggested inflation is 6.5 psi. I must admit I was happily surprised on how effortless it was to transport and assemble in such a short time.
The ridge design of the kayak made it very simple to deploy in the water. After a short paddle up the lake it did not take long to discover how much fun the Airis Play 8 would be. The adjustable padded backrest provided great comfort and enabled me to really sit back and relax while paddling. It just glided through the water nicely and I found it extremely easy to maneuver.
After a couple of hours I was ready to call it an afternoon. It not only handles like a champ in the water but also has a great design, look and style to match as well.
It is ideal for camping, fishing or just about any outdoor trip you go on. With a lightweight pack to haul it in, even your basic hiking trail will be a breeze.
Usually after a day of sun additional work is not appreciated, however, it was refreshing on just how easy it was to deflate and pack the kayak in its carry was.
The Airis Inflatable Kayak comes in two lengths for different size riders.
Play-8 length is 8’ and weighs about 15lbs with a max load of 225lbs
Airis also has a Sport 10 and 11 and more information can be found at
If you have never tried an Inflatable kayak I recommend Aris as your first choice for fun and adventure.
