If you are ready to blaze snowy trails or slosh through wet fields then these shoes are for you. My first experience with these shoes was on a eight mile run in the mountains. Since the terrain warranted either snowshoes or chancing the plunge into deep snow, I threw on gaiters over the Patagonia shoes and went for it. Patagonia has always provided high quality base layers and outerwear, hence I was a little reluctant when they entered the gore-tex trail running world.
