Outdoor Toesocks - Injinji

I remember when toe socks were popular in the 1970’s. I don’t remember that there was actually a true purpose for the socks other than they were a bright rainbow color, fun, slumber party sock worn by young girls. They made quite a fashion statement, too!

Well, toe socks have come a long way. The fun hasn’t totally been squeezed out of them, because the rainbow colors still exist, however, the purpose of the toe socks has been redesigned. The advancements made by Injinji to ensure an exhilarating fit and wear is in their performance and outdoor socks. There is a true purpose in their socks. The socks are light weight and seamless, which means comfort. The ultra fine yarn separate the toes, keeping the entire foot dryer and cooler. Yep, get over the “ah, that’s too weird”  reaction. Just like gloves give each individual finger on your hand material to encase them in, so does the toe socks and the result is incredible – really!

I had some reservations about trying these out at first. After all, I’m a mature man and have experienced high levels of outdoor performance in tough terrains and climate as I’m sure many outdoorsmen have. But surprisingly, the main advantage comes after you slip your toe encased foot into your hiking boots or trail shoes. There’s no denying  - there was a completely different feel for my feet! You’ll experience a almost guilty pleasure. Wow,  10 wrapped toes who feel as though they’ve been sent to the spa, No kidding!  Deep into your activity, however, you finally experience what ultimately counts, which is that you won’t have smashed, sweaty, blistered toes. In hot or cold weather, these toe socks are a new age product with lots to offer in the form of comfort and enhanced performance through longer activity.
