Arrant Gore-Tex
If you are ready to blaze snowy trails or slosh through wet fields then these shoes are for you. My first experience with these shoes was on a eight mile run in the mountains. Since the terrain warranted either snowshoes or chancing the plunge into deep snow, I threw on gaiters over the Patagonia shoes and went for it. Patagonia has always provided high quality base layers and outerwear, hence I was a little reluctant when they entered the gore-tex trail running world. I was not disappointed! These tough trail shoes have great treads, felt super light weight compared other trail shoes in my closet, stiff ankle support and especially a cool look.
Appearance: Nice choice with the color-scheme Patagonia. This shoe looks intimidating for the all-weather adventures. The wire-brushed bumper on the toe and heel provide support in addition to
a rugged look while the reflective webbing helps cars or animals dodge you as you zip down the trail. The DWR treated 100% polyester moisture wicking enables impressive ventilation when you get in a groove without over-heating the feet.
Quality/Durability: It’s Patagonia, they stand behind durability. I imagine these shoes will be with me for the next few years without showing signs of aging.
Function: Winter running, trail blazing, rainy days cruising round town
Price: $150. They are your running shoes, don’t skimp when they will treat you well and last along time.
I look forward to seeing how Patagonia can enhance this shoe as I can’t find anything wrong with it.
