GOLD SERIES 10 SNOWSHOES BY CRESCENT MOON

The tear-drop shaped frame and solid construction keeps even Andre the Giant afloat with these snowshoes.  The Gold Series 10 is designed for the backcountry experience where a heavy load and deep snow are the standard.  I dare you to load your pack to the brim and give these snowshoes a whirl.  

The ease of fitting these to any boot makes these a gem.  Playing around with a varied footwear selection, these snowshoes had no trouble working with a gore-tex pair of running shoes to my old-school Scarpa mountaineering boots.  The SPL binding system is quick to adjust and durability appears impressive.

One particular addition to their snowshoes is their crampon system.  The archetypical 2 crampon system doesn’t cut it for Crescent Moon.  They constructed the 3 stainless steel crampons with added traversing claws for improved stability, and traction.  The tear-drop shape encouraged an easy walk without clumsily bumping your snowshoes together.  Designed with an ergonomic focus, I would concur, these were smooth snowshoes for rugged conditions.

Bottom line, these are lightweight and aggressive snowshoes that will hold the torment of harsh winter backcountry travels.
